There are several ways to contribute to our mission of Moving Equality Forward in Cherokee County and North Metro Atlanta.
As a small, local, non-profit organization, every bit of time, every single resource, and every amount of money, no matter how small it may seem, makes a difference in our efforts.
We envision a world where diversity is celebrated, and all people are respected, valued, & affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
Help us make that vision a reality, starting right here in our local community.
Donate time
Time is our most precious resource, so for you to give your time to PFLAG Woodstock is a tremendous act of support. And there are so many ways to do it!
Are you interested in helping LGBTQ+ people, their family members, and their friends in their journey? Would you like to become a support group facilitator?
Would you like to help out when we host or attend special events, such as socials, parades, drives, guest speakers, and more?
Do you have time to help us behind the scenes, such as putting together outreach packets, coordinating resources, or maintaining active social media accounts?
Contact us to let us know how you’d like to help out!
Give a monetary gift
When you make a financial donation to PFLAG Woodstock, you enable us to offer free services for our community. We take great care to put it to effective use in educating, supporting, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and their families.
Education
Your donation enables us to host guest speakers for events where attendance is free and allows us to attend local events where we raise awareness of the issues facing the LGBTQ+ community and hand out educational resources.
Support
Your generous financial gift is used to fund our assistance of local LGBTQ+ folks through our monthly support group gatherings and the development and acquisition of materials for community outreach programs, such as Safe Schools initiatives.
Advocacy
Your monetary aid goes toward helping us prepare materials for various advocacy programs, including voter registration campaigns and enables us to lobby for or against specific bills that impact the local LGBTQ+ community.
Become a member
PFLAG Woodstock members are the sustaining force that enables us to do the important work of Moving Equality Forward right here in Cherokee County and North Metro Atlanta.
Membership runs from October through November each year, and any donation of $15 or more qualifies you and all members of your household. By becoming a member, you enable us to measure engagement with LGBTQ+ education, support, and advocacy in our community. Plus, members can take on other roles within our organization, they have the right to run for positions on the board, nominate others for positions, and vote in board elections.
The $15 donation covers our dues to PFLAG National and anything you give over that amount stays right here in our local community. Every little bit helps us to provide education, support, and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ folks and their loved ones that are our neighbors, co-workers, church members, and more.

Make an in-kind contribution
As a non-profit organization serving — and often primarily supported by — a marginalized community, PFLAG Woodstock can use support from all avenues. Turn your services, your talents, your resources, or your gently-used items into love in action!
If you have a company that provides a good or service, such as graphic design, promotional items, legal services, an event space, printing, counseling, apparel, etc. , and you are looking for a way to help, we can find ways to assist the LGBTQ+ community through the avenue that best suits your offering.
In addition, your old art supplies could provide a fun craft for a social event, or your unneeded LGBTQ+ books could be a useful addition to our library. If you have new or gently-used items that you no longer need and think they may benefit our chapter, please reach out, and we can brainstorm ways to put them to good use.
